MTU Winter Carnival Ice Sculptures
The Michigan Technical University Winter Carnival is in full swing. One of the events is the ice sculpture competition. Here are a few incredible examples of the sculptures found all over campus.

Snowmobiling in the Keweenaw
We returned to the Keweenaw again this year for an extended snowmobile vacation (10 day). It was a windy crossing over the Mackinaw Bridge (we required an escort due to the high profile of our trailer). It's bitterly cold this morning . . . minus 1. Here is a picture of a lampost buried in snow outside our cottage.
